Tales From the Crib: Week 39

I’m 9 months old this week.  Crazy.  I’ve officially been out in the world just as long as I grew in Mommy’s belly.  It’s so close to my 1st birthday.  Did I mention CRAZY?!

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this should be worth…well, I don’t know, like A LOT!

It was Father’s Day! Yay.  I made Daddy some stuff I found on Pinterest.  What’s a baby to do without Pinterest?  I also got a tee time for Daddy and Uncle Scott to play golf on Saturday while Mommy worked on the bathroom painting and I played with my manny, Mr. James.

We’re getting my room spruced up.  I found this in the closet.

Mommy said I spent more time in it on Saturday than I did when I was littler.  Whatev.

I gave Baby Olly a turn.

He got scared, so I held his hand.

Check out my Lambo.  My first front-engine car. Let’s hope my next one is a bit faster than this one.

I get my road rage from Daddy. For real.

Summer isn’t complete without a delicious slice of watermelon.

I’m teething pretty bad this week and Mommy nicknamed me Fussy McFusserson, but she still thinks I’m awesome…

Tales From the Crib: Week 38

Dadadadadada…Daaaaad. Dada.  I know TWO words now!  I’m so super-smart.  Ooh, ooh, I’m eloquent.  Take that, Webster.

Look what else I can do!

I was dogging it a bit so I don’t make all the other babies jealous, but I can zip around quite well.  Mommy and Daddy were watching TV the other night and I came flying through—I don’t know what was so funny, but they couldn’t stop laughing.

So, I can talk, I can walk, and, man can I eat!  Look, I’m double-fisting it.  Apple in one hand and pear in the other.

I only like food that I can pick up by myself and bite—I don’t like Mommy to put it in little pieces for me.  I’m not a baby anymore, Mom!  Then she tried to give me a rice cake.  What the crapt is that?!

She really needs to get some more food in this house.  I can’t find anything to eat.  I’m starving—can’t you tell?  All skin and bones, here.

I may have indeed sweated a pound or two off—it was hot this week.  I won’t complain. I got to play outside. Naked!  It was so fun.

I had to stay inside a lot, too.  Me and Mommy have been doing lots of reading.  I LOVE books.  Well, I only love a few books over and over…and over…and over…and over again.  What?  Who doesn’t love hearing about crazy monkeys jumping on the bed?  My favorite books right now are: Does Kangaroo Have a Mother, Too?, Whose Baby Am I?, and Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.

You know what else is fun? PARTYING!  Get this—I went to three parties over the weekend. Three!  First we crashed Daddy’s old neighbor’s graduation party.  Then we hit up Uncle Dave’s pad (do you like my slang, huh, do you?  I’ve got real swagg…), then on Sunday we had a baby shower and cookout.  I can’t wait to meet Baby Luke.  He’s due on the 4th of July.  I also got to see all of Grandpa’s family.  And Aunt Nancy has a doggie named, Oliver.  That’s pretty much the SECOND best name of all time (get it, huh, get it?…cause that’s MY middle name…my SECOND name…get it?). It was really hot and Grandpa Dan woke me up AGAIN so I wasn’t exactly Prince Charming, but I got a few snuggles in.

(Hush, girrrl. Just give me a kiss.)

And Mommy said I had to include these random embarrassing pictures.  Cause apparently I’m making adorable facial expressions these days.  It’s called growing up, Mom.  It’s called expressing emotions. Of course I’m cute.  Where have you been the last 8 months?

Tales From the Crib: Week 37

Guess what?! I took a 12 minute nap this week. 12 minutes! Did you know naps were allowed to be that short?  Oh…wait…Mommy is informing me that naps are indeed NOT allowed to be that short. Whoops.

To counteract our sleepiness, we decided to try out Summer To-Do List Item #5 and try out a new park.  We went to Kendrick Woods—it’s about 10 miles west of Lima.  There’s baby bucket swings, a big kid playground, a pond with geese, and walking trails.  We played in the swings, watched the geese swim, and had a picnic.  Too bad Mommy forgot to put the memory chip back in the camera so we had to take pictures with Mommy’s phone.  Sorry they’re crapt poor.

On Friday we drove all the way to Kentucky Speedway because Daddy and Grandpa Dan were supposed to drive Indy Cars!  Too bad the weather was yucky and they cancelled.  It would have been nice if they would have called before I had to ride all the way there in the car.

Hmm. That’s all. Boring week.  Someone come save me play with me!  There’s lots left on my To-Do List.  Let me know if you want to join!
